From her painting series "The Four Seas of Intimacy", "Caress" is a visual manifestation of the warmth of touch felt between lovers. This series of paintings was borne out of the desire to bring wholesomeness to one's view of love. As a young millenial, it is hard to have healthy views of romantic love. We live in a time where the culture is rife with acting disconnected, being individualistic and self-absorbed. These are attitudes that are often brought into dating and romance and make connecting difficult. What you often hear in music or see in films are people afraid of connection and commitment, so doing everything not to fall for a person but what if we do let ourselves fall, connect? What if millenials actually experienced love, not the toxic kind, the soft kind.
